Other Committee · Meeting of September 8, 2026
NORTHBOROUGH — The Northborough Traffic Safety Committee weighed costly fixes for Davis Street cut-through traffic but took no vote. Resident Tim told the panel the road carries "4,000 to 5,000 cars a day" meant for larger roads nearby, while staff pegged a cul-de-sac redesign at well into six figures, "might even approach seven." The committee also compared three consultant quotes, $6,400 from Jacobs Engineering, roughly $10,000 from Wesson and Sampson, and nearly $13,000 from Tetra Tech, for a four-way stop study at Allen and Hudson streets, then declined to proceed. Members approved March 10 and June 9 minutes 3-0 each and voted 4-0 to adjourn.
The panel also agreed to shift its regular meeting from the second Tuesday to the second Wednesday of each month, starting October 14.
