NORTHBOROUGH — The Northborough Historic District Commission voted 5-0 to send a letter of support for the Trinity Church steeple's Community Preservation Act restoration project. Chair Bob Light said the panel reviewed the project in September and found it "very well thought out." Members also voted 5-0 to formally acknowledge a roof replacement at 35 Howard Street, even though Light said town bylaw 1-60-070 exempts roof-color changes from commission approval. The panel approved its September 16 minutes 4-0 with one abstention.
Light reported the Northborough Revolution 250 Committee will disband by year's end, returning about $4,000 of its $15,000 town budget, and said a formal monument dedication is set for Saturday, November 14, at noon. He also flagged upcoming Community Preservation Act requests for a town hall project and an aqueduct trail, and said the Northborough Firefighters Association plans to seek funding to restore wheels on a fire wagon members said is more than 200 years old.
