The Traffic Safety Committee discussed Fair Street speed humps, Reservoir Street trucks and radar signs without taking a vote on any of them.
Other Committee · Meeting of November 4, 2026
NORTHBOROUGH — The Traffic Safety Committee discussed Fair Street speed humps, Reservoir Street trucks and radar signs without taking a vote on any of them. Members asked town employee Josh to look into pricing for speed humps and favored asking the Select Board for about $9,000 for three more radar signs rather than spending the committee's roughly $10,000 account. Vendor pricing was about $2,955 per sign.
A speaker said the CMRPC will conduct a free Davis Street safety audit, but not until spring because its auditor is on leave. Radar data showed about 900 vehicles a day on Whitney Street. A quote of about $15,000 for analysis of Allen and Hudson streets will return in December.
As one member put it, "it seems like everybody in town wants to have one of these on their street."
