Council on Aging weighs new strategic goals

Council on Aging · Meeting of October 20, 2026

Northborough's Council on Aging spent its October 20 meeting reshaping strategic-plan goals rather than voting on new programs. Chairperson Brad Baxter reported Friends of the Northborough Senior Center membership at 790 as of September 27, with $29,032 in direct assistance provided to seniors so far in 2026, according to Dick Catello's Friends report. The board approved the minutes of its September 8 meeting on a motion from Baxter, seconded by a member identified only as "Stephanie." Much of the session focused on converting resident feedback into SMART goals covering marketing, transportation and facility needs; members noted the center's two WRTA vans run "all day" and discussed a possible handyman service modeled on Westborough's program.

The Friends group's next board meeting was set for October 26.
