Library Trustees Approve Amended July Minutes
Library · Meeting of September 8, 2026
Northborough Library Trustees correct misquoted minutes, unveil automated budget report. Trustee Mitch Cohen flagged a July minutes passage attributing a comment to him he says he never made; the board reviewed the recording and approved corrected minutes 6-2, with two members abstaining for having missed the July meeting. Staff also rolled out a consolidated, auto-tallied appropriations workbook replacing a years-old manual spreadsheet process, which one trustee said would spare longtime staffer Kate "having to do all that for so many years." Trustees asked to restore year-over-year percentages dropped from the new format.
Chair Michelle Rehill said an entrance sign and an apple-shaped marker, funded through ARPA money that must be spent by December, are expected installed within one to two weeks. The board adjourned unanimously, 9-0, at 7:25 p.m.
